Between You & Me
@ The Loving Touch
in Ferndale, MI
Cherie Amour
Saturday Night doors opened to the crowd at 6 PM EST at The Loving Touch in Ferndale, MI just north of Detroit on a cold gloomy day but to lighten things up starting at 7 PM Cherie Amour started us up and got things going with their Nu-punk Rock music fresh out of Baltimore, Maryland. Band members include lead singer Trey Miller, guitarists Casey Reid and Brendan Willis, and drummer Ronnie Sherman. They also sang their hit song Orlando released back in 2021.
Homesafe
Coming out from Chicago, Illinois an underrated band called Homesafe kicked off the stage. The band was formed in 2014, if you like a layered punk sound this is a band you would need to look into. Ryan Rumchaks on guitar and vocals, Tyler Albertson on bass and vocals, and Emanuel "Eman" Duran on drums. The venue is small but the crowd had a blast singing and dancing. The band shows how much fun they have performing as you can see from the top left photo! Hope to see them come around to MI again!!
Young culture
Alongside Between You & Me coming from Albany, NY a pop-punk band called Young Culture. Young Culture consists of vocals Alex Magnan, guitarists Gabe Pietrafesa and Troy Burchett, and on drums Simon Hatziioannou. Young Culture played some of the band’s more popular, hype tracks which helped the crowd come to life before the headliner came on. We had crowd surfers and mosh pits come and go. The crowd was jumping up and down with excitement and singing along to all of the songs. In the middle of one of the songs lead singer Alex Magnan, jumped into the crowd and started jumping with them! This band is very active with their fans and shows a glimpse of how they are as people!
BETWEEN YOU & ME
Coming from Melbourne, Australia we have a pop-punk five-piece called Between You & Me. Cheers to them now that they are now self-producing their music. Recently releasing their single "In The Middle". Band members include vocals Jake Wilson (aka JT), guitarists Jai Gibson and Chris Bowerman, bassist James Karagiozis, and on drums Jamey Bowerman. The setlist kicked off with upbeat songs Dakota, Supervillian, and Nevermind. In the middle of the set lead singer JT asked who likes Shrek and surprised the crowd with a cover of "Allstar". Thought it was funny that JT was supporting Michigan by wearing a Michigan jacket! During their song, Deadbeat JT split the crowd so James Karagiozis could join the mosh with the crowd sharing laughs as well as singing and dancing. With the night ending they encored their song Goldfish and asked the crowd for their last chance to crowd surf! This band is one of the bands you would need to check out LIVE if you haven't yet.
Don't forget to Pre-save their EP Sh!t Yeah on April 5, 2024 Link
