CASKETS
NORTH AMERICA TOUR

ENGRAVE

Never have I ever thought to see this band twice within a month! When Engrave hit the stage at the Sanctuary on September 18, 2024, I was honestly disappointed but understandable that the venue squished the band into the stage right corner. The band itself did an amazing job hyping up the crowd for them being the openers. Lead vocalist Brad DiLorenzo still hardcore delivered a performance to entertain the fans. Again they played their recent single "Fallout." Most of the fans were headbanging along with the song. Engrave is a underrated hardcore metal band that should be ranked higher on the charts. So if they come to your town recommend these guys and support them.

COLORBLIND

Next stepping into the Sanctuary is the band called Colorblind. This band is known for its emo and alternative rock. Colorblind delivered an energetic set that created the atmosphere of the venue to have them singing loudly to the music. I heard a fan mention before their set that the lead singer Travis William had a haircut that reminded her of One Direction which gave me a chuckle. The tracks throughout the set were a mix of moody, melodic, and full emotion. Travis also delivered a charged performance hitting all the right high notes. This band also knows how to engage with the crowd, throughout the set the audience was fully immersed.

WIND WALKERS

This is my first time seeing Wind Walkers and they did not disappoint one bit they filled the venue right away with raw emotion right when they stepped on stage. The bands music combines technical deep intense emotion. Guitarist Tim Corneau delivered a breakdown completely soaring throughout their set. Ethan Cheesman had some powerful beats behind his drumming kit as well and lead singer Trevor Borg has an intense raw power and emotional depth. For the stage setup the LED lights also gave their performance brought to life. Wind Walkers performance was one of the highlight moments for me as a unforgettable night. Overall Wind Walkers would be another band to see if you catch them on the road.

CASKETS

Caskets North America Tour kicked off with a high-octane performance that showcased them as a band. When the lights dimmed and from the first chord fans were thrilled packed with buzzing of excitement. Opening with Guided Light the band set the tone for the night, blending with their heavy riffs and with melodic vocals. Vocalist Matt Flood beautifully soars through his vocals. Caskets immediately captivated the audience.  Guitarist Craig Robinson and Benji' D'Addario were both electrifying to watch. Throughout the set in between the songs the band had the time to interact with the crowd to share their gratitude and saying how this was their first North America Tour.

One of the standout moments was when Lost In Echoes the stage crew threw small inflatable balls to the crowd for them to hit and have fun. The production elements of their stage setup and lights were a very cool visual. They had 2 Caskets on the stage one with a skeleton on it and also had small props that looked like a gate from a cemetery.

I am very honored to go to this show here in Hamtramck because I have not seen Caskets in two years due them to be based in Leeds, England. The last time I saw them was when they toured with Dayseeker at The Crofoot. Overall Caskets' North America Tour surely helped them with their growth as musicians. This night was a show that will be memorable for sure.
