KLASH OF THE
TITANS TOUR

Klash of the Titans at Burton Cummings Theatre, Winnipeg: A Night of Pure Thrash Metal Fury

The night of September 24, 2024, was one for the books for all thrash metal fans as The Klash of the Titans shook the Burton Cummings Theatre. Possessed, led by Jeff Becerra, kicked off the evening with a bang. The excitement was visible in the air when they started “Pentagram.” Becerra, despite his challenges, owned the stage, and the crowd couldn’t get enough of his energy. Possessed proved why they are still a prominent band in the metal world.

Next up were thrash legends, Kreator. The energy bumped the moment they stepped on stage. There was a mosh pit by their third song, with fans crashing into each other and creating a whirlwind of excitement. Kreator's performance was short of electrifying, especially when they tore into classics like "Hate Über Alles" and "Satan Is Real." Mille Petrozza’s vocals were as powerful as ever, and the blazing solos left everyone in amazed

The night reached its peak when the headliners, Testament, took the stage. Chuck Billy came out to swing and command the crowd with his powerful voice. Chuck not only delivered heavy riffs but also took a moment to express his pride in his heritage, adding depth and meaning to the performance. The set was a masterclass with thrash anthems, blistering solos, and bone-crushing rhythms that kept the audience headbanging.

The Klash of the Titans was a thrilling celebration of thrash metal. Each band delivered an incredible performance, and the audience responded with unmatched enthusiasm. Whether it was the iconic presence of Possessed, the fierce Kreator, or the unstoppable force of Testament, the night embraced metal in its most primal form. For those lucky enough to attend, it was an unforgettable experience that they will cherish for years to come.
