LOCKED UP TOUR
Dalton Dover
London- Budweiser Gardens was the enthusiastic host of a fantastic House Party Saturday night as Sam Hunt and Dalton Dover took to the stage at Budweiser Gardens.
Dalton Dover played a strong set, full of original songs and a few notable covers, including If I ain’t got you, by Alicia Keys and Drift away, by Mentor Williams. He played some of his most popular songs, and fans were singing the lyrics back with as much enthusiasm.
He opened with ‘You need a rock’ and closed his set out with ‘giving up on that’. His music is a highlight of his abilities, and a clear reflection of who he is, which at his core is a boy from Georgia with a guitar and dreams of the music world. He’s been on tour, he’s preformed at the Grand Ole Opry, he’s done award shows, and now he’s bringing his music to a new crowd of people.
Sam Hunt
When it was finally time for Sam Hunt to come to the stage, the crowd was buzzing with anticipation. As we photographers waited near the sound board people were sharing drinks and taking selfies, everyone was enjoying a beautiful Saturday evening with an incredible live soundtrack.
Sam hunt played a somewhat short, but sweet set. Opening with his hit song ‘23’ he got the crowd excited right off the bat. He went on to sing a well spaced and composed set, with a ton of popular songs and a few acoustic songs (including Cop car, a personal favourite).
He told the audience stories about growing up, learning lessons and how those lessons lead him to where he needed to be, before drumming his guitar thoughtfully. He was electric as he moved from humble, to upbeat, to earnest and the audience was very receptive.
At the end of the night, fans were clicking their cowboy boots and singing his songs as the doors closed behind them. In total, both artists put on fantastic shows that got people moving and got the beer flowing (which at a country concert, is the expectation.)
